It was peaceful until the Iraq War. An ardent Fox viewer, especially OReilly, he believed the lie. On the eve of the invasion he said we were going in. He treated it as if it were a football game, rooting for the home team. He had never served in the military. I reminded him that we were not going in, they werecgoing in and will experience some horrible things. We are staying here, safe and sound
The relationship devolved. Not necessarily literate, he had one book on his coffee table by Ann Coulter. He was on disability in his 50s, yet he played golf and threw a cast net all afternoon, selling bait fish for extra money. His wife worked and was a very nice lady. You could tell she didnt like him bringing up politics all the time. I could never figure out why he thought he was conservative.
In the end, he was flying a Trump Flag. If he saw me, he would salute the flag and act like he was pledging allegiance. He since moved away and we were happy about that as he was really not a nice person.
We know other people who post horrible political stuff on Facebook, but never say anything when we get together. Politics and religion
