2. My great grandfather was there

He was not a miner but a norcino who followed the miners to America to make the traditional food. His ranch is at Ludlow, the head of Berwind canon.

Since he had the butcher shop, he and my great uncle would sneak food to the miners at night on horseback. Rockefeller had given strict orders to “starve the miners out”.

When Rockefeller’s men found out, they put a bounty on my grandfather and uncle’s head. The Sicilian blackhand hid them to keep them safe.

This is why I’m a democrat! I will never forget the atrocities of evil men who use the poor for their gains.
