Why the pointless frenzy about tRump's poll numbers? [View all]

Correct me if I'm wrong, but how do poll numbers mean ANYTHING in our current situation?
There's not a Presidential election for 4 years, if then.
He's not going to be impeached.
He can, does, and will do anything he feels like and no one will stop him, even if his poll numbers were -627%.
He will ignore the rule of law and courts and judges no matter what the polls say.
Almost every person who voted for him, if there was an election, would probably vote for him again, they're addicts and they will be CRAVING a new fix of hate speech, anger, and bold-faced lies at rallies where their ultra low IQs are celebrated as a gift from God.
But he doesn't even need those votes.
He's got all the power and disapproval by ANYONE is just an exercise in futility.

What I would LOVE to see instead of poll numbers is:
CONCRETE IDEAS FOR US TO FIGHT BACK.
I'm sick of seeing "Obama warns of authoritarianism". I'm sick of seeing "Harris cautions to be alert for fascism". I'm sick of seeing Robert Reich stresses vigilance against complete destruction of our way of government". (and please, these are paraphrased, don't take me to task for non-exact quotes, I'm sure everyone has seen these types of post ad nauseum by now.)

All of these people WARNING US are absolute almost lifelong INSIDERS in the ways of power in Washington. They know all the ins and outs. The know all the tricks and fakes.

We're just regular people, working hard, trying to enjoy what little bits of life we can afford to. We have no knowledge about any of those things.

So PLEASE, all you highly intelligent, successful, skillful folks: STOP WARNING US!
INSTEAD, GIVE US KNOWLEDGE ON ACTUAL STEPS WE CAN TAKE TO FIGHT THIS.

If you can't, please drop all the hand wringing and rending of garments, it's just stressing us out. Just get in touch when you actually come up with something.

And I write this as someone radicalized by Chicago '68, someone who participated in demonstrations through the Vietnam war, and even organized the only anti-war demonstration I ever heard of in Alabama in the early 70s, someone who joined masses of people around the world demonstrating against the 1st Gulf War (War my ass. One sided slaughter, but I digress).
I was even in my living room in Los Angeles, with my Israeli girlfriend talking to her mother in Israel, on my phone, while we actually watched SCUD missiles being fired on Tel Aviv lIve on CNN.

So none of this is anti-Democrat or anything like it. It's just a feeble cry for some actual GUIDANCE for us now.
