10. According to Mary's friends she tried to kill herself 3 times before marriage to Kennedy

Sounds like from court stuff over custody of kids, she had a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder - was an alcoholic and on many antidepressants. I’m sure his cheating didn’t help but he claimed she was abusive to his two young kids from his previous marriage and one of his daughters testified in court that Mary had slapped her and had hated her from when she was 7.

Who knows - sounds like lots of blame on both sides but losing custody of her kids and giving up her successful profession to have kids pushed her over her friends said. Her friends all admitted she had mental struggles her whole life.

Don’t know how true this all is but lots of articles on net at time of her death.
