1. I'd not say "retribution"

I would say justice following the rule of law.

Everyone should have their day in court. At the same time, if they’ve demonstrated their incompetence, they should be removed from whatever office they’re holding. In the exact same manner that if I demonstrated my incompetence, I should be removed from my job.
