which is damned discouraging since there is NO GOOD reason public policy should weigh in on whether or not a woman has children, or carries a specific first-trimester pregnancy to term. It makes me FURIOUS to think about the parade of misogynist men through the years who have stomped all over the collective uteruses of the nation's women trying to gain a political foothold. It makes me even MORE FURIOUS to realize how successful they have been in making it so difficult for many women that they don't have the option of an abortion, or have it only at great personal hardship and/or cost. And when I think of those who would allow no "life or health of the mother" and/or no incest or rape exception, I quite simply want to go postal on them (figuratively speaking).
