I worked for Sunbeam at the time. I warned the people in charge what Dunlap would do, they laughed at me because I worked on machinery, but I also watched the PBS documentary on him and what he’d done to the paper company, he’d taken over. They wouldn’t listen, then they merged with another company that was all set to kill them and it did. They got rid of the competition by merging with it. Products have gone downhill since then. Sunbeam was a decent company to work for, with decent pay and benefits, but it’s not that company anymore.

Dems should look at bringing manufacturing back to those economically tapped out areas
