Repub OK Legislator Introduces Legislation to Ban Food Made From Human Fetuses [View all]

When I first read this, I thought it had to be a hoax despite it being published in the Oklahoma State college paper.

So I checked it out at the Oklahoma State Legislature website. Here's the bill itself, SB1418, introduced on 1/18/2012.

I've no clue why Senator Shortey thinks this legislation is necessary. Any ideas?
