Cancel Culture [View all]

For over a decade, we’ve heard endless complaints about “cancel culture”—that people are too sensitive, or that folks are being ostracized just for having an opinion. But let’s be honest: who’s actually been canceled?

The only ones who’ve truly faced consequences—deservedly—are a few sexual predators, and even then, many still walk free with platforms intact. Meanwhile, people continue to spew racist, sexist, homophobic, and hateful rhetoric without any real accountability. In fact, many gain more followers by playing the victim and crying “cancel culture” the moment they’re called out.

The real problem in America isn’t too much canceling—it’s not enough. People rarely face consequences for their words or actions. They’re not expected to reflect, apologize, or grow. There’s no reckoning, no accountability—just louder microphones and bigger audiences. And that’s the rot we keep ignoring.
