"I rob from the thieving poor and give back to the productive rich." And therein [View all]

lies the basis of so much of the ugly, upside down bs from the reichwing that we see today. .the virtuous rich, the thieving, grasping, lazy poor. The prosperity gospel. This line comes from "Atlas Shrugged", which I read when I was 16 (yes, printing had been invented by then!!!), and which crossed my mind this morning. Robin Hood, in the scene, is held up as a symbol of ultimate evil, the feudal lords a symbol of virtue, and the serfs and peasants as greedy, grasping, undeserving, lazy and evil.

Is it any wonder that so many on the reich are fans of that book. A perfect justification for all the horror they so cheerfully and sadistically inflict.
