Antisemitism vs racism and the Trump administration [View all]

I’ve been noticing a pattern with Trump and his allies. They’re using accusations of antisemitism as a political weapon—not out of genuine concern, but as a tool to attack and control institutions they don’t align with ideologically. It’s manufactured outrage. They know antisemitism is universally condemned, so they exploit that moral consensus to go after universities and other groups—often not because the institutions themselves are antisemitic, but because someone affiliated with them may have expressed pro-Palestinian views or criticized the Israeli government.

At the same time, this same administration constantly rails against “wokeism,” diversity initiatives, and anything that confronts racism. They defend blatant racism as “free speech,” but label any criticism of Israel as antisemitic, even when it clearly isn’t.

The hypocrisy is glaring. They’re fine with racism and bigotry, but weaponize antisemitism when it serves their political goals. It’s not about protecting Jewish communities—it’s about silencing dissent and forcing ideological compliance.
