I'm sure that CEOs want to eliminate these jobs, perhaps firing or simply not hiring. However, AI is undercooked. Nowhere has it taken over for anything but the simplest jobs. It shows poor judgement and is underproductive. The economic damage will come, but the jobs will come back.
