8. Trump has been fixated on wind turbines ever since they "ruined the view" from his golf course in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Trump sued Scotland over wind turbines off the Scottish coast, claiming they spoiled the view from his oceanfront gold resort. The case went to the UK Supreme Court in 2015 and Trump lost bigly:

(BBC) "Donald Trump's Aberdeenshire golf resort must pay the Scottish government's legal costs following a court battle over a major North Sea wind power development...Mr Trump battled unsuccessfully in the courts to halt the project...A total of 11 turbines make up the development off Aberdeen...Judges have now ruled Trump International Golf Club Scotland Ltd should pay the legal bills incurred...Mr Trump had argued the development would spoil the view from his golf course at Menie."

He hasn't forgotten the loss to this day. Trump attacks wind turbines at every opportunity. It's become an obsession.
