47. the animal control officer here is a friend of mine.

She often drops by to "de-compress" all the yuk she has to carry around in her head.
From time to time she brings me orphaned birds, mammals, etc but I have to put my foot down on her showing me any puppies or kittens, we cannot afford one more long term pet.
And saying NO is VERY hard for me to do.

(unless she finds a Golden Retriever, of course)
