I was working. But the difference between Paris 20 years ago….15 years ago…and recent is shocking. The trash and filth. Petty crime is rampant. You have to be aware of pick pockets constantly. I know many people robbed in their first hour in the city. The hotels would warn me at the door to not walk at night. I truly don’t enjoy traveling there.
