(81,309 posts)52. The British took great pride in going about their daily business after German bombing raids each night.
The men and women walked around the bombing rubble and bodies as they went to work or the shops.
Even the King and Queen of England got up the morning after a raid and walked the bombed out streets.
The Royal Family refused to evacuate from London to safer parts of England.
They did it to show Hitler he could not break them.
The Brits definitely believed they were taking the moral high ground and were sending
a clear message to the German Nazis.
