Democrats Launch 'Organizing Summer' in Key States Ahead of 2026 Midterms [View all]
The DNC announced today the kick-off of "organizing summer" in key states ahead of both the 2025 general election in November, and the 2026 midterms, to highlight the massive Republican transfer of wealth from the poor to the rich in Trump's disastrous and unpopular budget bill.
The campaign aims to seize on Democratic enthusiasm after months of special election victories at the congressional and state level following the 2024 presidential election, along with global acts of protest like "No Kings Day," which saw over 13 million people in the U.S., and tens of thousands overseas, march in the streets against the authoritarian policies of Trump and MAGA Republicans.
The DNC, along with the DCCC, DSCC, DGA and ASDC, are launching coordinated live and virtual events to train up volunteers who are ready to take the fight to Republicans in multiple key states, including: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
"Donald Trump's tax scam is the least popular legislation to pass through Congress in 40 years, and the more people know about it, the less they like it," DNC Chair Ken Martin said in a statement. "Our job this summer is to make sure working families know exactly who is responsible for taking food off their table and ripping away their health care."
