The people abdicated their responsibility for self-rule and this is the result. I am the product of a single parent household, raised by a woman with nothing more than a high school diploma. I went to public schools all my life. I have been impoverished all my life and disabled for roughly half of it. The information that was accessible to me was accessible to everyone else. So either others didn't care to learn or didn't care to exercise their minimal diligence. Either way, the destruction of the nation is something the citizenry has enabled.

We have no one to blame but ourselves.
