And renamed the TEC-9 the AB-10 (for "After Ban&quot , which in both cases made them legal under it.

Seriously, a lot of the resistance to it was not because "it took our guns" (people who owned them knew it didn't do that) but because it was such an unbelievably stupid law and its supporters didn't even bother to find out what it did, so it seemed like a pointless culture war "fuck you" to gun owners.
