The local hospital that saved me in 2009 is on the "list" [View all]
It is fairly close to where I now live.
In 2009 I had an awful pain in my lower abdomen. It kept getting worse and I called the Dial-a-Nurse that comes with my insurance.
When I told them how I felt and that I was losing track of time, I was told to call an ambulance which is what I did. The ambulance arrived and took me to the local rural hospital.
The doctor in the ER thought it was the swine flu at first but the severe pain in my lower abdomen baffled him so he ran a CAT scan on me.
I was in the room waiting for the results sort of slipping away I felt like. The doctor arrived back into the room and his face was almost a gray color. He told me it was a good thing I'd had the CAT scan because I have a hole in my large intestine, peritonitis had set in and I had 45 minutes to live.
After that it was a blur, a big beautiful BLURRRRRR!!!! I was transferred to another hospital and operated on at 3:30 a.m.
I was in the hospital when I woke up hooked up to a blood transfusion. I had four more of them and I thought I'd never recover or get out but after a month, I managed to get out with a colostomy bag on me. UGH!
To make a long story short, I managed to recover but it took a long long time. If I had not been taken to the local rural hospital that is on the list to be closed now, I would have died that night in November of 2009.
I'm still here as you can see and I managed to get rid of that awful bag several months later in mid-2010.
HOW DARE THESE FREAKS!
How many will die now because the hospital is to be closed.
HOW DAMN MANY YOU FAT-ASSED ORANGE CLOWN?
