5. I've had a thought about Superman. A few, really.

First, consider this: Suppose that instead of landing in Kansas on the farm of Mr. and Mrs. Kent, he lands where sharecroppers Mr. and Mrs. Johnson reside... because this son of Krypton as black as coffee. Does this indestructible super powerful alien get regarded as a hero or a menace?

Second, doesn't Superman remind you of the Aryan ideal, white skin and blue eyes? His name comes from Nietzsche, right?

I see that the early comics from 1938 paint him as left-wing, but remember this was the great depression and everybody had reason to distrust organized money. I see the character as borderline Nazi by design, and pointedly designed to be morally as well as physically superior to all of us... and I don't cotton to people being superior or inferior.
