. . .so we don't really know if it would be included or if it would have ultimately represented a cut. All we really have is an incomplete proposal from the President to make some cpi adjustment, but it's not clear if it was even a serious offer. I doesn't look like it was. It looks like it was just a ruse to show that Boehner wasn't serious at all; not even when presented with an opportunity to realize one of the republicans own proposals. I'd put good money down though against the idea that the end product would actually represent a cut for recipients. After all, this president has spent his first term preserving, defending and enhancing those same programs. Those are facts; the rest is just self-serving speculation. You can put anything on this President with that tactic.
