On The Media did an interesting (and depressing) series called The Divided Dial about short wave radio.
It's an interesting history about how short wave is flooded with right wing and religious conspiracy nuts. Of course Alex Jones pops up in an episode.

But the funniest thing was about an end-times ministry called World's Last Chance. They have a huge short-wave radio presence.
Aaaand...they are flat earthers.
Yep. They use short wave to reach around the globe that they think is flat.
