only about as much as i hate accidentally hitting the win key, having my start menu pop up, pull me out of whatever i'm doing, and have to get rid of it.
And thats most of what the start page is. Just the start menu blown up. Those apps you pin there, like the ones on your old start menu, the the godawful clusterfuck of the All Apps/All Programs area. I actually find it much easier to make a clean desktop, since i can drop everything I need quick access to on a page with big, easy to spot icons. In reality its much more of a switch in aesthetics than mechanics.
