Yes I agree, most likely two assailants.

They grabbed Epstein, gave him a fast acting drug injection, or chloroform.
But an injection would leave a puncture mark on autopsy.
So better to use chloroform. Probably doesn't show in the pathology bloodwork.

But a skilled assassin could render Epstein unconscious in ten seconds.
Maybe they did not need drugs.

It had to be done quickly. Guards, video, other prisoners, etc.
