It is horrible to witness. But there ARE millions of us in this country and around the world on our side. Join hands and fight back. When I feel depressed I say a mantra— one I use is— “They have sewn the wind. They will reap the whirlwind.” Some phrase like that— something that gives you a small dose of courage. I saw somebody’s sign that said, “Their cruelty will be their downfall.” That’s a good one. I guess you’d call these mental boomerangs. Putting the negative energy back from where it came. We are so used to turning the other cheek, trying to pretend negative assaults are not happening, trying hard to ignore them and protect ourselves, but this is too big to ignore.

Expressing dismay to others — very important— feeling same. We are in a fight for the soul of this nation. It’s shocking and unimaginable. We have strength in numbers. Fascism will fail in this country. But we have to work the ropes to pull it down.
