Michael Popok (lawyer) heads the podcast though it's a satellite broadcast of Meidas Touch network. Popok's take (he's been pretty astute on a wide range of legal/Trump matters) is that the Mad King filed in Miami deliberately because the infamous Cannon is in his back pocket for Bondi's replacement or a seat on SCOTUS.

Either nomination would be a nightmare but the SCOTUS position would be a lifetime horror.

So, they rolled the dice hoping they'd get a conservative/Trump friendly judge and wound up with an Obama judge, Darrin Gales.

Hoisted with his own petard.
