The fascist right will argue that universities are at liberty teach what they want and say what they wish on campus, just don’t expect Federal funding if the administration opposes what’s taught or said, the universities will still exist.

And if universities preempt speech the administration opposes to receive Federal funding, that’s on the universities, not the government.
