After walking a long and exhausting distance to fill a jerrycan with water, I discovered that it was contaminated with worms. One of my children was crying from severe thirst, and just as I was about to give them a drink, I noticed some worms floating in the water. If we don’t die from the bombing, we’ll die from disease. This is our harsh reality in Gaza.

This is the type of flour currently available to civilians in the Gaza Strip !

As famine persists due to Israel’s complete closure of all border crossings, people have been forced to consume whatever is available including flour infested with weevils and worms, or past its expiration date because no other options remain.
