6. The timing was just coincidence.

The case has been winding its way through the courts since 2019.

Following the denial of an en banc rehearing at the appellate court back in November, she had the right a petition for a writ of certiorari.

She did that in April, after receiving a brief extension. The Federal government replied to her petition (after receiving a 1 month extension).

As is her right, she filed a reply to the government's reply, after being granted a one month extension.

So yes, it is purely a coincidence that 6 years after the case began, and 4 months after she filed her petition for a writ of certiorari with the Supreme Court, another due date coincided with her case being in the news for other reasons.

It's not hard to pull the case documents and see that this is just the next document in a long-standing legal dispute.
