So just got home from the hospital [View all]

Total left hip replacement. This is, er, interesting. Found a walker at Good Will for $9. Racing blue, everybody at the hospital was impressed. Have my Great Grandfather's cane from the 1800s. Op was yesterday afternoon and zero pain overnight. That's a different story today now that I'm up and walking on it. Orders to walk every hour...no rest for the wicked. Desk full of new prescriptions, mostly pain meds. Prime directive is "Don't fall down." Today and tomorrow are supposed to be the worst, we'll see...
