1. Powell's been a great Fed chair

Hopefully he's put processes in place to guide the Fed onward. He runs things by the numbers. The Fed knows much more about inflation than they did in the 1970s. Greenspan kowtowed to Bush with growth and interest rates that were imprudently low. So did Bernanke, though he was handed Greenspan's mess, the consequences and economic distortions of loose money. Powell appears to me to have found the long term interest of the USA, and capital, and really the bond market. Any Fed chair will have to answer for their policies. I don't think Trump can install a political hack and expect the Fed to go along.
