Nobody [View all]

Let's be clear right up front: I'm a nobody. Not to my family or friends but in general I am insignificant to the political and economic mechanisms that run our world.
What I do have is a solid foundational college education and decades of life experience and a fair amount international travel.

That all said it doesn't take much of any of that to understand what is actually happening right now.
Anyone that looks at you and implies things are normal is stunningly ignorant and uninformed or a liar.
It is very obvious at this point that we are racing down a track that we don't want to be on.
To say "things are not good" is an understatement.

I'll be honest, I didn't want to be the one to say it but I don't think anyone needs to say it. We all feel it. It is becoming more and more insane every day. Our country is cloaked in darkness. A majority of state budgets are are the verge of imploding. Elected Republicans have lost their minds and their spines. They would NEVER have tolerated this from a Democrat. They are literally defending pedophiles. Republicans literally went from wanting justice for Epstein's victims to those same victims now getting death threats from those same Republicans that said they wanted "justice".
We may not want to say it but we all feel it. We feel it so viscerally that we can feel it inch it's way across our skin and claw its way into our nightmares.

Our country is in crisis.

We are going to start feeling it hard in our bank accounts, if we are not already.
We are going to start feeling it in our state budgets, a budget that provides services and functions that touch our lives on a daily basis that will erode those services and functions, at best but will likely end many other services and functions that they can no longer support.
Unemployment will skyrocket.
Inflation will skyrocket.
If you ever wondered what living in a collapsing democracy would look like, you are living in it.

I don't want to be the one to say it but I'm a nobody so my saying it doesn't change anything.
