He was a military guinea pig in U.S.A. nuclear weapons testing and was sworn to secrecy. He didn't speak of it, even after President Clinton allowed it, until my wife's mom opened some of his VA mail about possible compensation.

He's still with us. Many of the young men he marched around with in the radioactive dust were not so fortunate.
