1. A space race to put a reactor on the moon before China does..why and what kind of reactor?

The space station has given us all kinds of technology and advances and it’s been a shared experience with other astronauts from around the world..a shared effort for all mankind and now they want to dismantle it and race to the moon..we can’t feed our children, educate or house them and give healthcare for us here. I don’t get it..
