28. Sorry to say, that Texas is under complete Republican control, and has been for the past 23 years.

The State House & Senate are Republican majority, the Governor, Sec. of State, and Attorney General are all Republicans, and all 9 seats on the Supreme Court are held by Republicans.

They are going to get away with whatever the U.S. Supreme Court allows, and will continue to do so until Democrats can take some of the aforementioned offices away from them.
