at all surprised if some of the people submitting AI-generated articles to Wikipedia are doing so deliberately to harm the site. Elon Musk, for instance hates it, so some of his followers might be doing this. All the AI companies exploit Wikipedia, scraping it so often its operating costs are higher. They'd probably be fine with it shutting down, as long as they've scraped everything from it first.
