18. Justice Rabbit might. She and her husband belong to a sect

Where the women are expected to be subservient to their spouses.
The only reason she was allowed to go as far as she did was because she was the talented daughter of one of the cult elites (like Tulsi Gabbard), and was granted the ability to be educated and pursue a profession so she might be able to assist the husband of her father's choice to rise higher than he had the capability to.
She has acted in ways where it appears still believes her husband (and his friends) is "right" when it comes to his judgement, no matter what her feelings might be And her understanding of the Law has always been colored by her religious sensibilities. She refuses to risk Hell if she thinks the situation reflects God's Will.

Sort of like Jane Roberts; the way she gets clients before the court, I suspect she also had a lot to do with politically positioning her spouse into a Supreme Court position.

They won't be required to give anything up, should they go with the guys. They're in a privileged position, and they're promised all due respect and rewards for their service to their "menfolk", no matter how evil it may be to others less fortunate.

They are proper Helpmetes. No one will piss on their graves. They can blame it on their husbands and religious duty.
