6. It's just another distraction

Melania could NEVER sit for a deposition. Never. There are far too many known "inconvenient" facts available about Epstein, Maxwell and the Trumps. Just imagine what would come out in discovery!

Neither could Trump and thanks to the SCOTUS ruling in Jones v. Clinton, Trump could be deposed while he's still in office. Since Trump is fundamentally unable to tell the truth, he cannot be deposed and expose himself to perjury charges. (There would certainly be more than a single lie told by Trump.)

The WH is reeling in desperation. It will be fascinating to see what happens when Congress goes back into session in a few weeks.
