I've heard Obama staff members talk about what it was like to work with/for him. The gist was you always had to be on your feet because he was so sharp.
Another thing that was kind of interesting was that Obama might ask a staff member what they thought about a certain issue. Imagine how scary that would be. Personally, I think it was a way for Obama to make sure his staff members were on top of issues.
IMHO, Putin doesn't fool Obama, who knows exactly who/what he is.
Trump gratuitously acts like he's his host, leading the way, granting him the right of the way before he goes. He pats him on the back, leans his head forward to try to meet the gaze of the little man, etc. Those are all moves that shows he'd like to dominate in that relationship but that he's acutely aware that he doesn't.
