U.S. Government Left Details Of Putin-Trump Summit In Hotel Printer: Report [View all]

Papers with U.S. State Department markings were found by a reporter Friday morning after the documents were left in the printer of a hotel in Alaska during the summit between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Eight pages produced by U.S. staff and left in a printer for an NPR reporter to discover reveal the names of several U.S. and Russian state leaders, as well as the revelation that Trump apparently planned to give Putin a ceremonial gift.

"POTUS to President Putin," one of the documents says. "American Bald Eagle Desk Statue."

Two other pages describe how lunch would be served at the summit, and referred to the Russian president as "his excellency Vladimir Putin."
