Confirmation of this: Just watch the "All The President's Men" movie, once more. Clearly made at a time when we thought this nation would never, ever suffer under a President more hateful, dishonest, and loathsome than Nixon. This isn't to advocate Tricky Dick for sainthood, by any means---just pointing out how fucked we are right now, as a once-proud, principled democracy.
