If you are going to announce you are from Mars, or proclaim yourself abnormal, utterly unlike ordinary folks in your make-up and mentality, then perhaps you might have a point. Otherwise, no, it is far from foolish to understand you as anyone with some experience of men and the world would understand anyone else behaving as you say you do, and in fact, what would be foolish would be to take your protestations you are different from the general run as an accurate assessment.
