In DC, the Guard took the lead,
To "clean up" the homeless with speed.
But the cost to deploy
Could just house girl and boy—
A solution ignored out of greed.

Trump called in the Guard for a show,
Said, “Clear out the poor—make them go!”
But the cash that he burned
Could house all those spurned—
Guess cruelty’s cheaper to show.

He sent in the troops with a grin,
To punish the crime of poor skin.
With beds they said no—
Just riot and woe—
'Cause mercy’s no match for a win.
