political content on that show. There are many incidents they do not run with. The crop is abundant, and they let most of it rot in the fields. Instead they have umpteen versions of a few different sketch formulaic plots that are insipid. I used to watch on a VCR and zip through most of the show. Now if they wanted to something like The Week That Was, or Spitting Image they could have several bits on each broadcast. he Smothers Brothers were far more politically radical, and they kept it clean.
