"Benjamin Netanyahu Had Jeffrey Epstein Ties" [View all]

This is the headline from an article from the business news site "JewishBusinessNews" dated 07/21/23 with a byline from Lily Bethlehem. This article is timely to bring back up now given the NYT reporting about the ties between JP Morgan Chase bank and Epstein. To be clear the ties, for now, appear to be about business and do not provide anything to suggest an involvement in the other conduct of Epstein. However the conviction and new accusations against Epstein were well known and so the idea that Netanyahu was "unaware" of this regarding Epstein isn't likely.

Despite the conviction of Epstein in Florida, slight though it was, and the investigation of him for trafficking and charges of raping underage girls as the NYT article points out the bank loved him like a brother. But this was not by any stretch the first report and the earlier report goes into Epstein apparently lining up a meeting between the higher-ups at JPMC and Netanyahu. The article notes that the execs were really doubtful about being able to get such a meeting but then it suddenly happened.

The article notes the closeness of JPMC exec Jes Staley with Epstein:

"In an internal report, JPMorgan Chase wrote that Jes Staley “appears to have a close relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, regularly communicating with him and seeking advice from him including while Epstein is incarcerated." Once the meeting with Netanyahu was arranged the article notes that an internal message was generated within JPMC that noted that against all odds the meeting had been granted by Netanyahu. The article notes:

"Staley reportedly forwarded the message to Jeffrey Epstein saying “Thanks,” who replied, “surprisee suprise.” I don't know if or where the misspelling took place.

The article notes that JPMC paid a settlement in 2023 to one of the victims in the amount of $290 million apparently regarding some of the facilitation of funding for maintaining the Epstein situation. According to the article much of this information has come from the release of files in the suit by the US Virgin Islands against JPMC. The article notes a very interesting part of those files:

"The released files also showed that Jeffrey Epstein procured women for fees of thousands of dollars for JPMorgan execs. But there was no evidence released specifying what the women actually did." Golly Mr. Peabody I wonder what it was for?
