Here is an excerpt from an article from the journal, Primary Psychiatry, that mentions this particular side effect:
In contrast to the drugs recognized as having memory-impairing potential, there are other medicationssome among the most commonly prescribed psychotropicsthat also have adverse cognitive effects. However, clinical impairment associated with these agents typically goes unrecognized, mainly because clinicians do not realize that these side effects are linked to the drugs. A good example, and especially important because of their extensive use, are the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs).
