It is very, very sad that Charlie Kirk has died. [View all]
He always came up with straw man and slippery slope arguments that were easy to shoot down. He was so smarmy and he had that "yes I am lying what are you going to do about it," grin that told the truth to anyone who wasn't already a programmed follower of bullies. Every crowd had someone that easily shot down his arguments publicly. He never won a debate without editing.
It is true that he led lost idiots further down the rabbit hole of hatred, but he also showed anyone thinking how horrible right wing Nazi philosophy is. Those who were thinking and listening, saw right through him.
I regret that such a tool is gone now. He was so very flawed, had so many failed arguments you could go back to. There are hundreds of videos on YouTube that show his deceit and idiocy. Now these bits of evidence have lost most of their value.
It is really tragic that Charlie Kirk has passed on. It is true that his place will be filled soon. Maybe it will be with someone with more charisma. Maybe it will be someone who is a bit more careful about the hatred he spread. It is possible that his replacement will be more convincing as a Christian. It is sad that Charlie Kirk is gone. For the moment he leaves a large hole in the fabric of our discourse.
Charlie Kirk's passing doesn't help liberals. It only helps the Fascists he supported. He was his own worst enemy, and his unspoken words were always obvious.
I will pray for his soul just as I occasionally pray for Hitler and Reagan.
