...to normalize Kirk, including USA Today running an article featuring photos of a black kid that portrayed him like Kirk's little chocolate mascot while featuring none of Kirk's odious language about black people was particularly galling. That there are flags at half-mast for this guy shows has much the institutions in this country that should be fighting it, are capitulating to the acceptance of racism, sexism, fascism, and bigotry.

It's wholly appropriate to decry political violence, but this is something else. There are people being fired from news organizations as well as government and private companies for simply stating the fact that Kirk wasn't just some troll or provocateur, he was a bonfide bigot. The whitewash being applied to him is more sickening than anything Kirk ever said.
