(18,055 posts)39. Gun nutters are using tripod bags to carry their weapons
I was searching for a carry bag for a musical instrument I have and found a really nice one padded comes in two sizes. I usually read the comments to determine if I want to purchase an item.
That is how I found out they are using tripod bags. I didn't know the names of the guns. Google helped in that regards.
Cheap and effective for their needs.

I needed a protective case for my little Mossie Shockwave and this is PERFECT! It's padded just right for protection with zippered storage pockets, a carry strap, and a great handle. It's like it was made specifically for my little shotgun! Excellent value too!
These are just a few of the comments where gun nutters are proudly mentioning how they will use this tripod bag.
Looking at the video it looks like to me he is carrying a tripod bag.

It could not have been in either of his pant legs - he bends both legs fully both in running & when jumping

I think they are referring to when he was walking in the stairwell entering the building.

He would have to have removed bolt, scope AND barrel within seconds. Hard to believe he did this so quickly but I

Yes. If that is the actual rifle used. It would be a tight fit, but maybe possible. The question is disassemble time.

Agree, they did say he visited the site a few times prior, likely scoping his route out.

To remove the barrel you must remove the bolt. This removes the spent casing. It was reinserted at some point. /nt
